Entanglement

Classical encryption alone is no longer sufficient to withstand emerging quantum threats. We want to use entanglement to secure free space communication. Classical and even post‑quantum cryptography cannot guarantee that data in transit will remain confidential forever. Scalable quantum computers are becoming feasible and create a 'harvest now, decrypt later' threat where intercepted data today may be decrypted in the future.
