The name Lumière Quantum was chosen in tribute to the L2n CNRS laboratory of Light, nanomaterials and nanotechnologies part of the University of Technology of Troyes, France, and to the Lumière brothers, who embody creativity, innovation, and science in the service of humanity.

Henry Tran
Co-founder & CEO
Henry Tran completed an EMBA at HEC Paris and a Master/Diplôme d'ingénieur in mechanical engineering and material science from the University of Technology of Compiègne. Before founding Lumière Quantum, Henry served as Deputy Global Head of IT Audit for a blue-chip company. He has over 15 years of experience in M&A tech carve-outs, cybersecurity, business, and IT audit across the financial services, energy, media, and retail sectors, and has worked for top-tier companies such as Rothschild & Co and Mitsubishi Corporation.


Christophe Couteau
Co-founder & CSO
Christophe Couteau is Professor of Physics (Professeur des universités) at the University of Technology of Troyes (UTT) and The University of Oxford. He has a PhD in Physics from Paris-Saclay University. Additionally, he is the Director of the National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) laboratory light, nanomaterials and nanotechnologies in Troyes. Researcher Shuwen Zeng from the lab, received the CNRS Bronze Medal in 2025, highlighting the lab’s commitment to rigor and innovation. Christophe has completed postdoctoral research at the University of Oxford, the Nanyang Technological University Singapore and the University of Waterloo, Canada. He is also the coordinator of Maison du Quantique Grand Est (MaQuEst).
